Jim Wooster
Executive Director
Jim became Executive Director of Passim in September 2015 after serving on the board as clerk for two years. Previously he served as Business Manager for several startup companies in the Boston area, most recently for international news website GlobalPost.com and for its non-profit spinoff The GroundTruth Project. Before that he helped online music marketplace Sonicbids grow, move into new space and secure venture funding. He was a founding partner of New England Streaming Media and its internet radio station RadioBoston.com. Previously he served as Director of Finance for healthcare private equity firm MedEquity Capital and as a consultant to local high-tech startups.
An avid musician, Jim was a founding member of local Americana band the Courage Brothers which released two CDs on Eastern Front Records in the early 1990s. He still performs occasionally with local groups including The Loomers and The Blood Mountain Brothers. He lives in Belmont with his wife and two boys and enjoys spending free time skiing or on the tennis court. Jim received his B.A. from Dartmouth College.
