Jim Kelly, Passim Board Treasurer
Vice President and Corporate Controller, Cabot Corporation
Jim has been the Corporate Controller for Cabot Corporation, a publicly traded, global specialty chemical company based in Boston, for the past 8 years. Prior to that role he held a variety of finance positions with Cabot and, previously, Norton Company, including roles in internal audit, investor relations and business finance. Jim also has significant international business experience, having moved internationally several times and travelled extensively throughout the world.
Jim has a long-standing passion for music dating back to first learning to play guitar in middle school. He is an avid live music fan, appreciates music of many genres and is a frequent patron of Passim and a variety of other New England area music venues. Favorite artists include The Allman Brothers, Ryan Adams, The Black Lillies, Bruce Cockburn, Mark Erelli, Lori McKenna, Gillian Welch and Neil Young among many others.
When not working, travelling or attending concerts, Jim is a fitness enthusiast and is a Corporator for the Perkins School in Watertown, MA. He is a CPA and earned a BSBA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
