Covid-19 Updates

Passim Masking Policy

Effective May 1st, 2023, masks are no longer required to be worn at Passim, though masking is still encouraged.  We welcome mask wearing and will continue to have masks available at the box office.  Some shows, at the artists’ request, may still require masks.  Please check upcoming events at passim.org/live for specific requirements.

By entering Passim you assert that you are not sick or experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19.  If you feel any symptoms, please stay home and enjoy our livestream feature – available for most shows for $5/free to members.

Passim Vaccination Policy

Effective September 14, 2022, Passim no longer requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend live events or classes.  Some shows, at the artists’ request, may still require proof of vaccination.  Please check the web pages for upcoming events at passim.org/live for specific requirements.

School of Music Policies

While we are excited to make music together in person again, we take the health and safety of our community very seriously.  We will mitigate infection risk by:

  1. Upholding a social commitment to the well being of the School and its community, all students, teachers, and  staff will work together by:

    • Staying home when sick

    • Obey all relevant COVID health protocols at all times

    • Reporting exposure you have had to a person who is COVID-19 positive to rachel@passim.org

    • Leave the school if experiencing any symptoms of illness during class

    • Quarantine when necessary

  1. Safety measures

    • Masking at the School of Music is encouraged, but will be optional for teachers and students beginning Spring I 2023.

    • Frequent hand washing & sanitizing

    • Increased Ventilation & air purification – our building has a great AC unit and we are installing air purifiers in each classroom. Windows can also be opened, weather permitting.

  1. Hybrid Learning Opportunities

    • We are offering several online seats for a select number of in-person classes. Instructors will Zoom those students into the classroom via iPad

    • This can also be used for students who feel ill but do not want to miss a class

    • Lessons will be recorded and uploaded to the cloud. Students will be able to access recordings for playback at any time during the semester
