So BlueSo Blue is a progressive folk duo that blends sensitive instrumentals with evocative lyricism. With earthy vocals, dynamic guitar, and atmospheric string bass, the duo creates timeless songs that speak to our shared humanity – the good and the bad. The band, consisting of Devon Gardner on vocals/guitar and Adam Gurczak on double bass, released its debut EP, In Water and Waves, in April 2024. A five-track melancholic folk EP, In Water and Waves, features five original songs, telling stories about love, loss, and (as many can relate to) bad roommates. Learn more at soblueband.com.

Mrs. WilberforceKyra Davies (fiddle, viola, vocals) and Sean Smith (guitar, tenor banjo, bouzouki, vocals) play music from Ireland, Scotland and Cape Breton – but also further afield, like Shetland, Brittany and Galicia, among other places. Although their sound is rooted in tradition, they readily, and happily, draw upon influences from the classical and contemporary folk/folk-rock domains, bringing out the distinctive qualities of each tune or song for the enjoyment of their audiences.

Lloyd ThayerLloyd Thayer puts the ‘multi’ in multi-instrumentalist, playing a mind boggling assortment of stringed intsruments including but not limited to: Dobro and Weissenborn lap steel guitars, Turkish Oud, Saz and Cumbus, Indian Chaturangui , Afghan Rabab, Ukulele and more. A recovering street performer and determined songwriter, his indoor shows combine a mixture of American folk and blues with elements of Indian, Arabic, Turkish, and Southeast Asian musical ideas, often all in the course of the same song. Greyhound lover, fog collector, and used string archivist, in his free time he memorizes the works of Bo Carter and plays the harmonica while driving in search of rare birds, instruments, or teachings, whichever comes first. Always gently striving to be a better listener.
