Emily Mure, a singer-songwriter originally from Roosevelt Island, New York, blends contemporary folk with classical influences. Initially a classical oboist, she studied at LaGuardia High School and Ithaca College. A summer in Ireland studying traditional
music inspired her to move to Galway, where she honed her songwriting as a busker. Her three acclaimed albums have earned her features on NBC, ABC, and PBS, and an official showcase feature at Folk Alliance International. Her latest project, Sad Songs
and Waltzes, reimagines songs by artists like Radiohead and The Cranberries, showcasing her ability to transform and personalize beloved tracks. Emily’s music, including the romantic ballad “Already Are,” reflects her personal experiences and heartfelt storytelling.
