Mairead GuyMairead Guy is a Boston-based vocalist, banjoist, guitarist and songwriter. Their life in music began in their hometown of Richmond, VA where they grew up in a family of musicians. Their environment nurtured a deep connection to both the Old Time and Irish American pub scenes. In 2017, they moved to Boston where they earned their degree in Songwriting and Performance at Berklee College of Music and formed the alt folk duo Sweet Petunia with fellow Berklee alumna, Maddy Simpson. Eight years later, Sweet Petunia is still a vibrant, creative force at the heart of the Boston music scene.
