Passim has several grant programs to support artists in the community. Since starting to give out grants in 2008, Passim has disbursed over $900,000 directly to artists. For more info on how to apply, how to donate, and how these funds are being used, check out each grant program below.

Passim Iguana Music Fund
The Iguana Fund helps New England-based artists with musical projects. Applications accepted Sept 1st - Oct 6th.
Brian O’Donovan Legacy Fund
Founded with the support of the O'Donovan family, the Legacy Fund honors Brian's dedication to the Boston Celtic music community by helping Celtic acts from all over the world tour in New England. Applications accepted Sept 1st - Oct 6th.
Passim Touring Artist Grant
Our newest grant, TAG helps make touring more financially viable for emerging artists in New England. Applications accepted Sept 1st - Oct 6th.
Eastern Front Songwriter Grant
The Eastern Front Songwriting Grant honors the legacy of Jerry Potts, founder of Eastern Front Records, who served as chair of the Passim Board of Directors from 2008 to 2020. One recipient annually is selected to help them release their first professional recording.
Retired Grant Programs
Gecko Fund
The Gecko Fund, founded with support by Steve & Cindy Chao, was a grant program to support creative narrative works in the New England music community. Heartwood and Noble Dust received funds to develop narrative musical projects that were then brought to the Club Passim stage.
Passim Emergency Artist Relief Fund
The PEAR Fund supported musicians in the Passim community during 2020 when gigging was impossible. Over the course of the grant, over $200k in grants were given to artists to help with living costs while work was scarce.
