Michael Busack

Executive Director

Michael Busack is Passim’s Executive Director and a lifelong devotee of music and the arts. From his earliest days, he’s been drawn to the power of stories and songs and their ability to change the world, which led him to spend nearly two decades working with museums, historic sites, and music schools across New England, most recently as Museum Director for The Trustees of Reservations, the first nonprofit land conservation organization in the world.

Along the way, he has helped places like the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, South Shore Conservatory, and Fruitlands Museum refine their mission and voice, build new communities, and connect with their audiences. At Passim, Michael channels that same passion into creating spaces where music can bring people together. When he is not at the Club, you are most likely to find him with his partner, Damien, and three rescue pups Lennon, Philip and Biscotti, enjoying nature or searching for more live music.
