Mariel Vandersteel Wyslouch
School of Music and Administrative Coordinator
A California native, Mariel grew up playing fiddle music in the redwoods. She moved to Boston to study Violin Performance at Berklee College of Music and immediately fell in love with the warm and welcoming Club Passim community. Soon she became an instructor at the Passim School of Music and a frequent performer and audience member at the Club.
Mariel has toured nationally and internationally with numerous bands including Blue Moose and the Unbuttoned Zippers and Laura Cortese & the Dance Cards. While a part of the Dance Cards, the band had the opportunity to teach, perform, and collaborate with musicians in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, Bangladesh, Montenegro, Greece, Estonia and Ukraine as U.S. State Department appointed Cultural Ambassadors. Mariel is currently completing her graduate degree in Arts Administration at Boston University.
Mariel is crazy about dogs and textiles and will say yes to a dance party anytime, anywhere.
