Gemma Laurence

  • Singer/Songwriter

Gemma Laurence is a Brooklyn-based folk artist from the coast of Maine. Categorizing herself as “Sapphic folk,” Laurence has been named an “up-and-comer” in the queer music scene by NPR Music and performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Having grown up on the coast of Maine and the hills of Oxfordshire, Laurence’s time on both sides of the Atlantic influenced her unique sound: a fusion of foot-stomping Americana with a hint of English folk. Crafting a lush soundscape of acoustic guitars, dreamy harmonies, and found sounds, Laurence’s timeless tracks call her listeners home to the people and places left behind for new beginnings. Her debut album, Crooked Heart, was released in 2019, and her sophomore album Lavender was released on Better Company Records/The Orchard in 2022.

Nora Meier

  • Folk
  • Singer/Songwriter

Growing up in Portland, Oregon, Nora Meier was drawn to music at an early age. Inspired by the artists she discovered in her parents’ expansive vinyl collection, it wasn’t long before she was pestering her parents to sign her up for piano lessons. At 12 years old she fell in love with songwriting, and in 2014 a recording of her first original song Remember was uploaded to YouTube and shared by the Huffington Post.

Encouraged by her mentor Moorea Masa to pursue her love of music, Nora began seriously honing her skills as an artist throughout her teenage years. In 2017 she wrote and produced her first single, Icicles, followed by a five-track EP, With Time. In their review of the EP, Divide and Conquer writes that Meier has “a magical combination of the deep rich tone of Fiona Apple and the jazzy melodic playfulness of Melody Gardot.” Her most recent single, Harvest Song, was released in May of 2022, and is now available on all streaming platforms. These projects would not have been possible without the support of artists such as Moorea Masa, Steve Swatkins, Margaret Wehr, Josh Powell and many more. She is currently studying at The Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.

Meier has proven an ability to connect to the heart of the individual while uniting us through the emotions that make us human.

Anna Ferrari

  • Singer/Songwriter

Anna Ferrari writes from the heart about love, loss, growing up and the queer experience. The 26-year-old songwriter lives in Boston and her sound veers towards indie-folk with a pinch of twang. She seeks to form connections through the experience of sharing and listening to music and hopes you feel a piece of your story in her lyrics.

Junebug

  • Alt Folk

Described as “breathing with an expressively honest air” by Matt Herman from Camden Monthly, Junebug is the musical project created by Carolyn Fahrner. After releasing her debut EP ‘Turncoat’ in 2021, Carolyn began gigging in New York City at venues like The Mercury Lounge, The Sultan Room, and Rubulad and London venues like Green Note, Paper Dress Vintage, and The Gladstone Arms. In October, she released ‘My Therapist Told Me’ which leans into her vulnerability and ironicism, yet therapeutic necessity of creating art. Now, she’s looking towards releasing her highly anticipated single, ‘Mikey Told Me’ in 2023.
