THIS IS AN IN-PERSON CLASS

An introduction to building a good bluegrass solo for all instruments. We’ll take a look at improvisation devices and techniques that can help you build off the melodies of songs and/or fiddle tunes. The class will focus on developing simple, musical variations and getting more comfortable creating your own solos while staying connected to the melody.

Location: Passim School of Music, 26 Church Street, Cambridge, MA(Classrooms are located on the second floor; unfortunately, there is no elevator.)

Ages: 18+
