THIS IS AN IN-PERSON CLASS

Join ballad singers Erin Hogan and Adam Hendey for a 5-week journey into the art of ballad singing! As a class, we’ll explore the Celtic and American ballad singing traditions through archival and modern recordings, and work together to choose, learn, and break down two to three ballads of your choice. We will also continue to enjoy popular singing session songs to sing together in each class. As the semester unfolds, we will build a class repertoire culminating in a lively end-of-semester singing session field trip!

Location: Passim School of Music, 26 Church Street, Cambridge, MA(Classrooms are located on the second floor; unfortunately, there is no elevator.)

Ages: 18+
