Lissa Schneckenburger
The first year of the pandemic proved to be an unexpectedly prolific period for Vermont-based fiddler and singer Lissa Schneckenburger, as global shutdowns and personal challenges led her to channel uncertainty and isolation into songwriting. The result was an outpouring of new material—enough for several albums—including her latest release Falling Forward. The album features Schneckenburger’s original fiddle tunes alongside two traditional New England songs and marks her first fiddle-forward release in over a decade. Now Schneckenburger is taking the music on the road to live music venues around the northeast with a powerhouse trio including pianist Rachel Aucoin and accordion player Samuel Foucher. Ranging from exuberant, dance-driven energy to reflective and introspective moments, the trio offers music for both celebration and contemplation and presents selections from Falling Forward alongside audience favorites from Schneckenburger’s decades long career.
