chrysalis
- Folk Pop
- Indie Folk
- Singer/Songwriter
As their name would suggest, chrysalis exists in a constant state of metamorphosis, with an ethos firmly rooted in a sense of care; for their art, their community, their identity. chrysalis’ discography comes directly inspired by and written through the lens of their lived experiences as a queer person traversing through a world that often refutes their very existence, proving to be a project of unfettered defiance and radical love. Career highlights include receiving the Gibson/Music Forward Emerging LGBTQ+ Artist Award, playing at Boston Calling, as well as opening for The Head and the Heart, MALINDA, Olive Klug, VÉRITÉ and Katy Kirby. chrysalis has been featured on various editorial playlists, including Front Page Indie (do you?), Fresh Finds (do you?, cheerwine), Juniper (“do you?”), Sad Girl Starter pack (“margarita sugar”), and Fresh Finds Indie (“crazy” + “do you?”). With every song being as raw and emotionally charged as a freshly written diary entry, chrysalis bears their heart to listeners.
Entifan
Entifan is a 23 year old creatively sensitive being from Orange County, CA. She incorporates a fluidity and soft power into her music, treating her artistry as an outlet to personally reflects and outwardly connect. As their name means “water,” they play with the duality of malleability and grand force through their experimental instrumentation and arrangements. His work is, to say the least, emotional. With her latest single “The Beg,” she asks you to look inward at your healing and question how you’ve shown up in your struggle. Did you romanticize the sadness the same way you romanticized your peace ? She shares this discovery for herself in this piece. Her music is not for the non-reflective and certainly isn’t for the avoidant.
