Doug Kwartler is a songwriter and performer based near Boston, MA. His songs have been featured on network television shows and on radio around the world. He has released albums with his former band Foundry, as a solo artist, and for the last 12-years as part of the americana duo, The Lied To’s, with award-winning songwriter, Susan Levine. The duo has received high accolades, playing shows including several at the legendary Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN and iconic venues such as Club Passim in Cambridge, MA and The Bitter End in NYC. They have released three albums including their most recent, The Worst Kind of New, which received stellar reviews and widespread national airplay. Doug is also an in-demand recording engineer and producer, working for over 25 years out of his studio, Hollow Body Studios. He’s worked with hundreds of musicians and has produced albums for many regional and local artists, several of which have placed high on the national folk DJ charts.
