- School of Music class
*THIS IS AN ONLINE CLASS*
When I first learned how to finger pick, I thought, “Now I’m a REAL guitar player.” I’ve checked in from time to time with my Guitar 2 students and apparently, I’m not alone in that feeling.
As with my other classes, you’ll learn finger picking, a few strum patterns and basic music theory in the context of playing specific songs. I’ll also help you create a manageable practice regimen (even for us over scheduled, over functioning New Englanders!).
This level is right for you as long as you can switch between open chords with relative comfort.
6 weekly classes
Let Me Take The Mystery Out Of It music theory worksheets
Lifetime access to video lessons of all lessons
While we’re online, a free 30 minute private lesson (a $150 value)
You’ll learn technique and theory while playing songs like: Satisfaction (Rolling Stones), Killin’ The Blues, We Are Gonna Be Friends (White Stripes), Take It To The Limit (Eagles), Speed of the Sound of Loneliness (John Prine), As Tears Go By (Rolling Stones), Landslide (Fleetwood Mac)
“I think you are a revelation — such an excellent writer and performer AND you can teach. Your lucky students!” – Christine Lavin

Audiences find themselves moved as the music shifts from the engrossing true story, Rosalie’s Diamonds, that describes how Feld’s grandmother rescued her family from Nazi-occupied Austria in the late 1930’s to her deeply introspective work in I Met Myself to her description of love’s unpredictable journey in Waiting for Love.
Janet’s recordings range from productions with a host of studio musicians to the simple clarity of a voice and guitar, with a touch of piano. I Met Myself is her newest release which Janet feels is her most authentic work to date.
In addition to performing, Janet teaches guitar and songwriting at The Passim School of Music. She is also the Founder and Chief Music Officer of Janet’s Planet: Music Lessons For Humanoids, Inc., offering private lessons and video lesson programs to people of all ages. Her goal is to help people experience the fact that you don’t have to be from the “special talented people” planet in order to play music.
