Melissa Ferrick at the Crane Estate

Passim is collaborating with The Trustees—the state’s largest land conservation and preservation nonprofit—for several concerts this year, bringing Passim’s renowned folk music to special places across Massachusetts. 

This show, featuring Melissa Ferrick, is the second of two special shows in the barn at the storied Crane Estate in Ipswich. 

Indie? Alternative? Folk? Punk? Melissa Ferrick won’t be labeled. A songwriter with 18 albums spanning 30 years, she is celebrated for her raw vulnerability, wit, and electrifying live performances. Every lyric in her immense catalog is an invitation to confession or catharsis. From touring with Morrissey and Tegan and Sara to teaching at Northeastern University, working as a booking agent at Paladin Artists, and earning an Ed.M. from Harvard, Ferrick’s relentless reinvention has prepared her to serve as a mentor and secured her reputation as a positive and inspiring force in the independent music community. She continues to challenge conventions, reinforcing her genre-defying legacy with each new project. 

All tickets have a $3 processing fee and a $2 preservation fee. The $3 processing fee is waived for tickets purchased at our box office.
