Lexi Weege
- Blues
- Jazz
- Soul
Weege hit the road at 19, traipsing around the country in a rusted out sedan; performing in VFWs with a country band across New England, fronting jazz big bands in the Midwest, playing the blues across Texas… armed with an insatiable curiosity, various instruments and a notebook, Weege absorbed it all like a sponge and began writing and releasing her own music.
Her nearly twenty five years of experience is evident in the craft of her songwriting, and in the bold confidence she exudes onstage. Lexi Weege’s multiple releases, national tours, and hundreds of shows have happened independently, without any label backing. A true believer in the power of DIY, Weege is surely an old soul, and one of a kind..
Weege released an album of original jazz compositions, titled “Renaissance Painting,” in October 2025, and will be releasing the follow up “Pay It No Mind,” in November of 2026. She enjoys toying with genre and pushing the boundaries of what goes with what.
Weege has lent her voice to others as well, most notably to The Glen David Andrews Band, with whom she’s performed at The French Quarter Festival and The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
When asked what genre she considers herself, Weege says, “Don’t put me in a box. I’m claustrophobic.” (But these days, she’s enjoying crooning old school jazz with a little Texas twang peppered in).
When she’s not on the road, Weege resides in Western Massachusetts, where she can be found hosting regular free community meals and two step nights at the local pub, affectionately known as Honky Tonk Tuesdays.
