Jess Kerber is a 19 year-old singer/songwriter from the Greater New Orleans area taking influences from the 60s/70s era of folk. With both parents being musicians, from an early age she was exposed to artists such as Joni Mitchell, The Allman Brothers, and Bill Evans. From self-releasing her debut EP entitled, Falling Foward (shortly after her high school graduation), to being chosen as one of the top ten songwriters to participate in the first Trimble House Songwriting Series in Nashville less than a year later, Jess is putting in as much work and time as possible to be able to continue to form her craft. In the Fall, she will be returning to Boston, MA, where she attends Berklee College of Music as the 2018 Lollapalooza full-tuition scholarship recipient; she is currently studying songwriting and music production and engineering. In her music, Jess is consistently striving to write what feels true and to continue to grow upward and on. But mostly, she is working towards exploring all corners of the planet while hopefully, making a change for the better with her words.
