Jenner Fox
Jenner is folk singer-songwriter-storyteller-second-generation-river-guide. Jenner calls Sisters, Oregon home, travels from show to show on a cargo bike whenever possible, guides whitewater rivers all over the world, teaches music camps, and searches for songs.
Jenner came to the attention of Cookie Marenco when his father, Peter Fox, was studying audio recording with her. Still a student at Yale on a scholarship for soccer, Jenner contacted Cookie about doing a surprise birthday recording for his father. Peter and Jenner came to the studio and the music was so compelling, Cookie asked if she could release it on Blue Coast Records. They agreed.
Also an audio recording enthusiast, Jenner was pleasantly surprised when he heard the passion that comes forth in a live-in-the-studio recording. He asked to do his own album at Cookie’s facility, OTR Studios. She agreed.
What Cookie heard during those sessions was the makings of a brilliantly talented lyricist, songwriter and guitarist who could deliver beyond expectations.
“Jenner combines the lyricism of Joni Mitchell and the commentary of Neil Young to represent the next generation of singer songwriters,” Cookie Marenco says.
Jenner’s first album coming to you from Blue Coast Records via Entertainment One is a collection of favorite songs from several of his live-in-the-studio recordings. A combination of original songs and brilliantly performed cover songs demonstrate why he is a fan favorite.
