Dan Bui

Dan Bui is a versatile and exciting mandolin player based in Boston, Massachusetts. Deeply passionate about music, he finds himself inspired by traditional and contemporary music from around the world, with a natural curiosity for how musicians influence and collaborate across style and genre.
Growing up in Houston Texas, Dan was introduced to the mandolin when he first saw Sam Bush playing on TV. From 2010-2013, Dan attended Berklee College of Music, studying mandolin with John McGann, Darol Anger, Joe k. Walsh, and Jason Anick. He was a founding member of Twisted Pine, recording on 4 full-length albums, and touring around the world.
Throughout his time as a performer, Dan has also maintained a busy schedule as a dedicated teacher, teaching regularly at workshops and music camps across the country. In his teaching, Dan strives to help his students identify and connect with their innate, intuitive musicianship, and find inspiration in the vast world of music.
