Join the Passim music community for a slow-paced and welcoming jam! We’ll cover Bluegrass songs and tunes in a relaxed manner where players of all levels and instruments are welcome! Participants are encouraged to bring a song or tune that they can lead.  This is the perfect environment to get to play with others in a casual setting.   Jam Repretoire will include: Roll In My Sweet Baby’s Arms  On My Way Back To The Old Home  Columbus Stockade Blues  I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry Roll On Buddy, Roll On Lonesome Valley Molly and Tenbrooks Can’t You Hear Me Calling Mighty Dark To Travel Foggy Mountain Top     A few tips for the jam: It’s ok if you don’t know the song or tune being played. Listen to the melody a few times until you have the shape of the melody or chord progression in your head and then play quietly along. This musical tradition is passed down aurally and this is exactly how folks have learned and participated for generations. Ready to lead a tune or song? Make sure you can confidently call out the key you will be in and the chords so that others can follow. Have fun!    Please register in advance! $10 for Passim members/$12 non-members/ $15 walk up   Please note: The Passim School of Music is located on the third floor of 26 Church Street and, unfortunately, we do not have an elevator.
