Togaibh Fonn! Lift the Chorus! Worksongs in the Cape Breton Scottish Gaelic Tradition.

The Gaels are famed for their love of singing to accompany every aspect of their lives. Songs with choruses that everyone can join in on are an important part of Gaelic culture in Cape Breton. In this workshop you can learn some simple choruses, hear some recordings of traditional Cape Breton Gaelic singing and learn more about the Gaels of Cape Breton. This workshop will run from 11:00am-1:00pm.

Please note: The Passim School of Music is located at 26 Church St. Cambridge, MA. Classrooms are located on the third floor and, unfortunately, we do not have an elevator.Limited to 8 students (16 yrs of age or older); 3 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
