Have you ever finished an album you’re really proud of and then thought, “now what?”

In this two-hour workshop, we’ll talk through the basics of many elements of the independent album release. We’ll cover topics like: goal-setting, building your budget, hiring your release team, advocating for yourself for placement on streaming playlists, and securing press. While this workshop is primarily geared for artists who are planning on releasing an album independently, we will take some time to discuss strategies for shopping an album to independent labels and distributors for support, and how that plays into your release timeline. Finally, we’ll take some time to talk about what to do after your album is out, and how to use the success of your release to keep the momentum going. This is an online reboot of an in-person workshop held last year. And we heard you! Attendees will leave with practical tips on how to promote their album through a well-organized release campaign, and this time will also leave with a couple of worksheets to help them begin. Attendees are encouraged to come with questions!

This workshop will take place on Zoom from 6:30pm-8:30pm ET.
