Intermediate Blues Harmonica – Tone & Technique
- School of Music workshop
If you already play the harmonica, can bend notes, love the blues, and want to get a deeper sound, this is the class for you. We’ll learn about the techniques that Chicago Blues masters like Little Walter, Big Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson used to build soulful phrases with big tone. We’ll work on tongue-blocking, tongue-slapping and -switching, warbles, vibrato, and breathing techniques for setting up solos. Bring a 10-hole diatonic harmonica in the key of C, and other keys if you have them.
This workshop is from 11:00am-12:30pm.
