Finger-style textures will include:

Strumming
Comping
Single note playing
Arpeggios

All applicable to any styles and genres.

Familiarity with basic chords is preferred. TAB reading is recommended, but not required.

“Bertrand takes a holistic approach to guitar instruction that incorporates the fundamentals of breathing, ergonomics, posture, form to help build strength, agility, and healthy technique as the scaffolding for musical growth while inspiring students with his own infectious love of music across multiple genres. As a beginner folk singer-songwriter I took a fingerstyle guitar accompaniment class with Bertrand and found he was able to teach to multiple levels within the class and respond effectively to a range of student interests and questions. I came away from every session with new “tools” that helped free my own musical voice.” – SJ (student from Spring I 2021 semester)
