Your Instrument in Bluegrass and Beyond: Crafting a Part in Any Song
This workshop will address different approaches to playing traditional instruments outside of their idiomatic context and look at how they can be played to fit in to any existing or new song. Charlie himself plays guitar, mandolin, banjo, and bass, and can offer valuable insight to fiddle and other instruments. It will be geared towards advancing beginner instrumentalists who are interested in going beyond playing just the chords and melody of a song.

This workshop is part of the Down Home Up Here Festival and runs from 2-4pm.

Workshops fees are seperate from your festival ticket.

Please note: The Passim School of Music is located at 26 Church St. Cambridge, MA. Classrooms are located on the third floor and, unfortunately, we do not have an elevator.
