Beginner Old Time Banjo
- Old Time
- School of Music workshop
*THIS IS AN ONLINE WORKSHOP*
Have you been wanting to learn to play clawhammer banjo during the pandemic? Now is your time to shine! This is a beginner-friendly workshop geared towards getting you acquainted with your instrument as well as learning the clawhammer (or “frailing”) banjo technique. Participants can expect to come away from our class with a basic knowledge of standard open tunings and chords, drills for increased facility on your banjo, and one full tune in open G. Above all, this will be fun, easygoing and pressure-free. BYOB (Bring your own banjo) and let’s get playing.
This workshop will be held Saturday, Oct. 17th from 12:00-2:00pm ET.
Please note: Pre-sales are highly encouraged! Sales end 15 minutes before the class begins. 3 students are required for this class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will be notified and receive a full refund.
