The festival exists to spread awareness and funds for the Passim Emergency Artist Relief (PEAR) Fund, which was created to help artists struggling from the fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic. Exciting update: the Passim Emergency Artist Relief (PEAR) Fund has now raised over $55,000 to help artists struggling from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and has distributed $20,000 to musicians this week alone.

Here are some words from an artist the fund has supported: "OMG! This comes at the BEST time - I was just figuring out how we were going to pay our health insurance bill!!! Thank you so so so much."
