@dietrichstrause is a Boston-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His fifth studio album, “You and I Must Be Out of My Mind”, came out April 29 on Jeffrey Foucault’s Blueblade Records. The American singer-songwriter has spent over a decade weaving timeless melodies with heartbreaking narratives using his “virtuosic command of imagery” and “his knack for vivid, almost literary lyricism” (WBUR, Boston NPR) – and he is now setting up shop in London. His songs have been described by Americana UK as “captivating and evocative” with his latest collection no exception. Each one is an exploration and discovery of loss, hope, desire, and disillusionment through images of love-worn soldiers, scrambled weathervanes, listless sailors, and drifting satellites lost in an open heart. We're excited to bring back Kristina Latino's Album Release Starter Pack workshop - this time ONLINE! In this two-hour workshop, you'll talk through the basics of many elements of the independent album release. You will cover topics like: goal-setting, building your budget, hiring your release team, advocating for yourself for placement on streaming playlists, and securing press. While this workshop is primarily geared for artists who are planning on releasing an album independently, time will be taken to discuss strategies for shopping an album to independent labels and distributors for support, and how that plays into your release timeline. "When it comes to Passim there is always More To Explore. We feature new and established musicians seven nights a week in our storied listening room, all sharing their lives and art with an appreciative audience. To me, there is nothing more impressive than hearing an artist entertain a room with just their voice, their instrument, and their imagination. No giant screens, backing dancers, or lip syncing needed!

As you know we rely on your generosity to help us fund all our Passim programming. We need to raise $175,000 by the end of June so we can finish our fiscal year strong, and we’re well on the way toward achieving that goal. If you haven’t already done so, please become a member or renew your membership so you’ll find out about upcoming shows and have early access to ticket sales and member-only events. American songwriters Liam Robinson (banjo, accordion, vocals) and Jean Rohe (guitar, vocals) were brought together over fifteen years ago by their mutual love of afternoon song-swaps, American folk ballads, and wordplay.
