Trad Kids, A musical for kids, presented by Shannon Heaton!

Kids are smart and discerning. Fun doesn't need to be dumbed down like much of the music "made for" or marketed to kids. Trad Kids celebrates self-expression with its diverse and lovable cast. The compact show highlights team building, social skills, and creative participation! Kids learn new vocabulary words—and become empowered to express themselves thoughtfully and eloquently. Parents will also dig the smart music and humor.

With traditional (“trad”) and original Irish-style folk songs,  "Trad Kids: The Cupcake Ball"  tells the story of Agnes P. Mouse and the friends who come to her strawberry-and-spinach cupcake ball.

This interactive folk musical was created for 5-8 year olds. But toddlers will also enjoy the music and silly characters (a book-loving mouse, a cheerful frog, a shy and polite toad, and a wacky truck-loving lizard).

About Shannon

Shannon Heaton plays the heck out of her instrument (Irish wood flute/accordion). After years of study in Chicago, and many nights of music in Clare, Galway, and her adopted home of Boston, Irish Music Magazine’s John O’Regan wrote, “.. playing is tight, sweet, and tasteful, lacking nothing on either technical expertise or instrumental virtuosity.”
